Colorado River Discovery is very pleased to offer a full-day rowing trip option. The itinerary is the same as our standard trips, but these rowing trips utilize smaller, humanpowered rafts rowed by expert boatman also skilled at interpreting the area.
These trips are available March 1 through May 31 and September 1 through November 30 on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays only.
Colorado River Discovery's rowing trips allow for a quieter and even more leisurely experience. Our rowing trip provides a very intimate encounter with this beautiful stretch of the Colorado River.
Please come to our rafting headquarters at least 30 minutes before your tour departure time to check in. We require a minimum of four full-fare passengers to launch a rowing trip. If the minimum is not reached, all guests will receive a full refund or can join one of our half-day motorized trips.
After a brief orientation, you will be transported down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel to meet your river guide at the bottom of Glen Canyon Dam. Stops will include Petros Beach, where you can visit an outstanding Ancestral Puebloan petroglyph panel, and Lunch Beach, where participants will enjoy a satisfying deli style mid-day meal.
Your adventure ends at historic Lees Ferry, where you will be greeted by one of our drivers to return you back to Page.
Each Colorado River Discovery row boat holds a maximum of six guests, plus your guide. Participants in the full-day rowing trip meet at our Page, Arizona headquarters at 8:30 a.m. and will return to Page at approximately 5 p.m. Space is limited so book early.
