high school.
After receiving a degree in wildlife biology in Florida, she moved back out west to do biological field work for the National Park Service, United States Fish & Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, and various wildlife departments in Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. Missing her time on the river, Kris returned to guiding seasonally on the Colorado River in Black, Glen, and Grand Canyons.

Nick Holloway

LAUREN STEIN
Lauren was born and raised in Page, AZ. She considers growing up in Page and having Lake Powell and the river as her back yard an amazing experience. She loves that her passion for the outdoors can transfer to a summer job with Colorado River Discovery. Sharing this place with those who haven’t experienced Glen Canyon is a wonderful encounter and this is why she continues to come back. When not on the river in the summer, Lauren is studying at NAU and Pima Medical Institute to become a nurse.

Nick Holloway

ANDREW GRIM
Drew started guiding in 2006 after moving to Arizona from Florida. It didn’t take long to realize that he had stumbled into the “best job ever.” Drew is happily married with two children. Prior to finding his passion for the river, Drew was a Marine Corp officer and studied sports medicine at the University of Florida and law at the University of South Dakota.

Brad Newman

BRAD NEWMAN
Brad has been guiding seasonally on the Colorado River for 26 years. When not down in the canyon, you’ll find him in Prescott, Arizona running Yavapai
Exceptional Industries (YEI!), a non profit organization that strives to provide employment for developmentally disabled adults. Down on the river, you can’t miss him….he’ll serenade you with guitar in hand.

After retiring as a Game Warden from Arizona Game & Fish, Becky moved north to Page and started guiding for Colorado River Discovery. She now splits her summers between floating down Glen Canyon and working with Humphrey Summit Support in the Grand Canyon doing fish science. Becky loves everything that has to do with the Colorado River….and we mean everything!

Megan Horning

EASY JOSEPH
Yes, that is his given name. Easy has been guiding on the Colorado River in Glen Canyon since 2009. Raised in a small community in Southern Utah, Easy comes from a big family and really knows how to be a part of the team. When he’s not on the river, he’ll be strumming his guitar and singing at local venues throughout the Lake Powell area.

Nick Holloway

KYLE DAVIS
Having run more than 500 trips in the Glen Canyon as well as being born in Page, its a sure bet to say Kyle feels right at home here on the Colorado. Kyle graduated from Dartmouth in 2009 with a degree in psychology. But his love of the river continues to draw him back to canyon country every summer. He will tell you numerous stories of the area as well as the many adventures he’s had. Anything from the fish down below to the majestic California Condor soaring above, Kyle can definitely tell you about the life of the Glen.

Nick Holloway
