GERRY NEALON
Gerry’s been guiding in Glen Canyon for the past 11 years. His avid love of birding, hiking, and anything to do with canyon country is apparent to anyone who speaks with him. Gerry is a licensed Master Falconer who has flown several species of hawks and falcons.

FRANK TALBOTT
After serving in the US Navy, Frank worked as a professional photographer in California. He has been guiding in Glen Canyon since 2001 and has the
photos to prove it. When he’s not on the river, you can find Frank helping out at the John Wesley Powell Museum or teaching at Page’s Coconino Community College.

BRENDYCE BUDD
Brendyce was born on Catalina Island and raised in Page. She is now attending Armstrong Atlantic State
University in Savannah, GA on a volleyball scholarship. When she’s not on the river, you can find Brendyce out on Lake Powell wakeboarding with friends and family.

LEA ANN RENS
Lea Ann is originally from Wisconsin and moved to Arizona in 2007. Lea Ann spends her summers running the Colorado River in Glen and Grand
Canyons and on the Snake and Salmon Rivers in Idaho. When she’s not running river, Lea Ann can be found playing in the snow on the ski slopes in Flagstaff.

DAVID DEVRIES
David has been guiding on the Colorado River in Glen Canyon since 2007. When he’s not on the river, you’ll find David out on Lake Powell fishing or hunting on the Kaibab Plateau.

KRIS SAMS-KENNEY
Kris started guiding back in her home state of Colorado on the Colorado and Arkansas Rivers when she was in
high school.
After receiving a degree in wildlife biology in Florida, she moved back out west to do biological field work for the National Park Service, United States Fish & Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, and various wildlife departments in Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. Missing her time on the river, Kris returned to guiding seasonally on the Colorado River in Black, Glen, and Grand Canyons.

LAUREN STEIN
Lauren was born and raised in Page, AZ. She considers growing up in Page and having Lake Powell and the river as her back yard an amazing experience. She loves that her passion for the outdoors can transfer to a summer job with Colorado River Discovery. Sharing this place with those who haven’t experienced Glen Canyon is a wonderful encounter and this is why she continues to come back. When not on the river in the summer, Lauren is studying at NAU and Pima Medical Institute to become a nurse.

ANDREW GRIM
Drew started guiding in 2006 after moving to Arizona from Florida. It didn’t take long to realize that he had stumbled into the “best job ever.” Drew is happily married with two children. Prior to finding his passion for the river, Drew was a Marine Corp officer and studied sports medicine at the University of Florida and law at the University of South Dakota.
BRAD NEWMAN
Brad has been guiding seasonally on the Colorado River for 26 years. When not down in the canyon, you’ll find him in Prescott, Arizona running Yavapai
Exceptional Industries (YEI!), a non profit organization that strives to provide employment for developmentally disabled adults. Down on the river, you can’t miss him….he’ll serenade you with guitar in hand.

BECKY WRIGHT
After retiring as a Game Warden from Arizona Game & Fish, Becky moved north to Page and started guiding for Colorado River Discovery. She now splits her summers between floating down Glen Canyon and working with Humphrey Summit Support in the Grand Canyon doing fish science. Becky loves everything that has to do with the Colorado River….and we mean everything!

KOREY SEYLER
Korey took his first rafting trip through the Grand Canyon at the age of 8 and has been coming back ever since. Korey has been working for CRD for 5 years and loves sharing this beautiful
stretch of river with the guests he takes down. In his free time, you can find him kayaking, skiing, rafting other rivers and reading.

JEN NEALON
Jen has been guiding on the Colorado River in Glen Canyon since 2007. She loves everything about canyon country. When she’s not on the river, you can find her hiking, birding, reading or just hanging out with friends.

EASY JOSEPH
Yes, that is his given name. Easy has been guiding on the Colorado River in Glen Canyon since 2009. Raised in a small community in Southern Utah, Easy comes from a big family and really knows how to be a part of the team. When he’s not on the river, he’ll be strumming his guitar and singing at local venues throughout the Lake Powell area.

KYLE DAVIS
Having run more than 500 trips in the Glen Canyon as well as being born in Page, its a sure bet to say Kyle feels right at home here on the Colorado. Kyle graduated from Dartmouth in 2009 with a degree in psychology. But his love of the river continues to draw him back to canyon country every summer. He will tell you numerous stories of the area as well as the many adventures he’s had. Anything from the fish down below to the majestic California Condor soaring above, Kyle can definitely tell you about the life of the Glen.

CHUCK STRAUB
Chuck has been guiding on the Colorado River in Glen Canyon since 1998. He uses his time on the river as a breather from working for SRP at the Navajo Generating Station and to get out of honey-due lists at home. Chuck loves traveling, hiking, and NASCAR.
