There are plenty of ways and options to experience all the natural beauty that Arizona has to offer. If you’re interested in doing some sightseeing or taking photographs of the splendorous sights of Glen Canyon and Lake Powell, kayaking and rafting tours are the perfect way to experience these beautiful surroundings.
Kayaking in Arizona
Our experienced kayaking guides will instruct you on how to maneuver your kayak, and allow you time to practice and learn the technique in a calm and wake-less zone just off the shore. Once you begin your journey you will learn about the history of Lake Powell while taking in all the sights and sounds. You will certainly want to have your camera ready when the kayak enters the narrow inlets of Entrada sandstone. There will also be time to enjoy a nice swim in the warm lagoon-like waters that make up Lake Powell.
Rafting in Arizona
Colorado River Discovery’s river rafting tours offer breathtaking views down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. You will experience the dam 700 feet above you and will ride aboard a motorized pontoon raft downstream. Your river guide will tell stories about many aspects of your tour, and you will be able to experience ancient petroglyphs from the Ancestral Puebloan peoples.
